Maple isn't oak, and it shouldn't be treated as though it is. Its tighter grain and naturally lighter appearance can react very differently to stain, sealer, and finish.
Patrick Daigle Hardwood Flooring provides wood floor refinishing, hardwood floor repairs, sanding, and hardwood installation throughout East Granby, Connecticut, including homes near East Granby Center, Route 20, Route 187, and North Main Street.
One of our East Granby projects involved maple flooring where the homeowner wanted to lighten and refresh the floor without adding unnecessary amber color. Professional sanding followed by a clear sealer and Bona Mega helped retain more of maple's natural character.
Whether we're working with maple, red oak, white oak, or another hardwood species, the finishing process is selected around the wood—not simply repeated from the previous job.
