The restaurant had beautiful white oak hardwood flooring, but years of commercial use had taken their toll. Before beginning the project, we evaluated the condition of the wood and determined that the flooring could be professionally sanded and refinished rather than replaced.

Using our professional dust-containment sanding equipment, we removed the worn finish and brought the white oak back to clean wood. One of the great characteristics of white oak is the natural variation throughout the boards. Once properly sanded, those variations in grain and color become part of the beauty of the floor.

For a restaurant, however, appearance is only part of the equation. The finish also needs to stand up to demanding commercial traffic.

We protected the refinished white oak with Bona Traffic HD, a professional water-based finish designed for demanding environments. The finished floor retained the beautiful character of the white oak while receiving the protection appropriate for a busy commercial setting.
