Hardwood Floor Refinishing Near Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, CT

Buying a beautiful home is exciting—but sometimes you don't really notice the condition or color of the hardwood floors until after you close and move in.

That was the situation with this project near the top of Hebron Avenue in Glastonbury, Connecticut.

The homeowners had purchased a beautiful home and initially thought the hardwood floors were fine. After closing, they began looking at them differently. The old finish had developed that familiar orange, honey, golden and almost pumpkin-colored appearance, and it was making the interior feel much more dated than they wanted.

They didn't need new hardwood floors.

They needed to see the beautiful wood they already had.

We professionally sanded away the old finish and brought the floors back to raw wood. For the new finishing system, we used a Bona clear sealer followed by three coats of Bona Mega waterborne finish.

The before-and-after photographs show just how dramatic the difference can be.

The heavy orange and golden tones are gone. The floors are now lighter, cleaner and much more natural-looking, helping bring the entire home up to date without replacing the existing hardwood.
